Senior IAS Officer Radha Krishna Mathur has been appointed as the Defence Production Secretary in the Ministry of Defence.
Mathur, a 1977 batch IAS officer of Manipur-Tripura cadre, is presently Secretary, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. His appointment came following superannuation of Shekhar Agarwal, 1977 batch IAS officer of UP cadre, due on September 30.
The Appointments Committee of Cabinet has also appointed 1982 batch IAS officer of Bihar cadre, Rashmi Verma, presently Joint Secretary, Department of Defence Production as Additional Secretary, Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance, in the vacancy of 1981 batch IAS officer Shashi Shekhar.
Ajay Narayan Jha, 1982 batch IAS officer, presently Joint Secretary and Financial Adviser, Ministry of Human Resource Development has been appointed as Officer on Special Duty in the Advance Cell of the 14th Finance Commission, in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary, a release from the Department of Personnel and Training said.
