Myanmar Consul General in Kolkata Pyi Soe was killed in a road accident in Jharkhand’s Giridih district on Friday. His wife and two other people travelling with him suffered serious injuries.
According to Akhilesh B Variar, SP, Giridih, Soe and his family were travelling to Kolkata when their car rammed into a truck at Belagi More in Nimighat area of the State.
The incident took place around 9.30 am on the National Highway 2.
