A unique meet to showcase entrepreneurship among tribals will be held in Hyderabad on Friday. Billed to be the country's first, the National Tribal Entrepreneurs Conclave will be inaugurated by the Union Minister for Tribal Welfare, Jual Oram.
The gathering will get to hear success stories, opportunities and challenges and the road ahead for entrepreneurs from tribals and other economically backward communities.
For example, Satish L Jarkiholi, founder of Satish Sugars, a Rs 700-crore enterprise will narrate his story. He is an MLA and former Minister in the Karnataka Government.
Similarly, Suresh Naik, promoter of Tribal Mantra, a company into ethnic tribal and tribal inspired retail products, will present his venture. He is also the President of Hyderabad ISTTM Business School.
The theme of the meet is ‘Entrepreneurship Empowers Everyone’. The conclave is planned in association with the Ministry of MSME, Government of India; Ministry of Tribal Affairs; National Scheduled Tribes Finance and Development Corporation; Government of Telangana, and The National SC-ST Hub.
It is being organised by The Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Representatives from BHEL, BDLK, SCR, HAL, NSIC, SIDBI, and SLBC will also take part in the panel discussions.
