Peenya Industrial Assocation (PIA) will hold PIA: Expo 2015 - National Vendor Development Programme at Bengaluru from June 25-27.
Peenya Industrial Complex is one of the biggest industrial complexes housing about 8,500 MSMEs and spread over an area of 45 sq. km. It is surrounded by a dozen peripheral industrial estates, employing about 8.5 lakh people, out of which about four lakh are women employees.
“We have been conducting national vendor development programme (PIA:Expo) every year to showcase the member’s expertise and link the major industrial players under B2B platform,” K Anand Rao, Secretary, PIA.
This year’s PIA Expo:2015 is being held held at Dr Prabhakar Kore Convention Center, Yeshwanthpur, Bengaluru.
Bengaluru is a hub of machine tools, aerospace, engineering and software development with a futuristic growth plan. Peenya Industrial Association along with the Karnataka Department of Industries and Commerce is supporting the expo along with banks and public sector undertakings.
Rao said, “Complex has a variety of manufacturing, maintenance and service sectors in various disciplines of mechanical, electrical, electronics, automobile, aeronautical, packaging, garments.”
“Additionally, a large number of export-oriented industries are also housed in this industrial complex exporting their wares all over the world,” he added.
