“Every individual is unique and we are here to play a unique role in life,” said Gaurav Bissa, Associate Professor and Head (MBA), Government Engineering College, Bikaner.
He was speaking at a lecture on ‘Life Management’ at JIET Group of Institutions, Jodhpur, Rajasthan.
The campus interface with the corporate world was organised by Business Line in association with energy major Cairn India.
Bissa gave the example of Lord Krishna. He said that in Krishna’s childhood when there was a fight between Him and Kaaliya Naag, He had beaten the Naag till all the poison was out of the body, but had not taken its life.
He said our sense organs are like the five faces of Kaaliya Naag and we need to control them till all poison is out and it becomes pure.
Bissa mentioned five principles – uniqueness, worthwhile contribution to self, love and affection, mental alertness and aim – through which one can build character.
“We should love our society, our culture and also try to give strength to it,” he said and emphasised that one should have a clear goal and dedicate oneself to achieve it.
