The Karnataka State Level Single Window Clearance Committee has approved Honeywell’s ₹1,400-crore investment proposal to set up its own campus in the State.

The company's campus is set to come up on 5.4 acres near Varthur on the outskirts of Bangalore. The investment is likely to create 500 jobs.

The committee has also cleared 30 projects with an investment of over ₹1,070 crore, which is expected to create 16,451 jobs in 15 districts.

The SLWCC was chaired by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and attended by Ratna Prabha, Additional Chief Secretary to Government, C & I Department and other senior officials of the State government.

Sectoral break-up

Aerospace - projects 1, investment ₹28 crore, employment potential 445. Energy - projects 2, investment ₹84.48 crore, employment 30. Engineering - projects 2, investment ₹37.7 crore, employment 96. Food - projects 5, investment ₹101.81 crore, employment 429. In the meeting, five new proposals of Shahi Exports with an investment of Rs 173.75 crore generating employment to 11,000 was approved.

Apart from this new proposal SHV Energy with an investment of ₹22 crore, Jeevaraj Tea investment of ₹15.23 crore, Stevia World Agro Tech, investment of ₹26.02 crore, Illig India investment of ₹32.7 crore, Dhanyatha Infra Projects investment of ₹46 crore, Ankit Fasteners Private investment of ₹28 crore, Entrack Overseas investment of ₹29.31 crores were approved.

Investment parks

The Chief Minister also reviewed various investment parks planned at Devanahalli.

Aerospace Park, Devanahalli: Total land acquired 725.05 acres allotted area 503.49 acres (number of units 49), remaining land 34 acres and major units are: Dynamic Technologies 27.65 acres, Tyco Electronics Corp India 20 acres, MSME Development Institute (CA Site) 10 acres, Jupitor Aviation Services 75 acres, Amada (India) 8 acres and Starragheckert Machine Tools 8 acres.

Aerospace SEZ, Devanahalli: Total land acquired 252 acres, allotted area 174 acres (number of units 8), remaining land 128 acres and major units are: Wipro Limited 7.20 acres, BEML 25 acres, TATA Power Company 4 acres, Cast Craft 3 acres, Zenith Precision 1 acres and Thyssenkrupp Aerospace India 2 acres.

Hardware Park, Devahahalli: Total land acquired 849 acres, allotted area 567 acres (number of units 48), remaining land 141 acres and major units are: Ascendas (India) 100 acres, Shell India Market 40 acres and IFCI Infrastructure Development 50 acres.

IT Park, Devanahalli: Total land acquired 1,155.94 acres, allotted area 792.03 acres, remaining land 387.32 acres and major units are: Reliance Jio 25 acres, Tech-Mahendra 15 acres, Brigade Estates and Project 25 acres, First Face Information 10 acres, Just Dial 15 acres and Tata Consulting Engineers 5 acres.
