The 600 megawatt Kakatiya Thermal Power Plant of TS Genco coming up at Bhoopalpally in Telangana completed boiler light up on Sunday.
The boiler light up is an important stage in power plant development and a prelude to commissioning the coal-fired thermal power project in August.
According to a statement from the Chief Minister's Office the project is being implemented on a fast track mode as per the directions of the State Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao.
D Prabhakar Rao, Chairman and Managing Director of TS Genco and TS Transco called upon all the project contractors including BHEL to maintain the same tempo and commission the project in August to meet the power supply requirement.
