The AAP has issued a clarification saying it was “mis-informed” about a Transparency International survey that was quoted by party Convenor Arvind Kejriwal at a CII event and senior leader Shazia Ilmi to claim there was a “dramatic fall” in corruption in Delhi during 49 days of AAP rule.
“Since the information came from someone who was an employee of Transparency International, she (Ilmi) assumed that it was a Transparency International survey,” the release said.
