A host of 1,500 start-ups, entrepreneurs, artists, writers, film enthusiasts and other creative persons are going to a rendezvous for two days on August 30 and 31.
Industry associations such as The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE), Hyderabad Software Exporters Association, Nasscom, Indian School of Business and International Institute of Information Technology (H) have joined hands to organise The August Fest 2014 for start-ups and other creative persons.
The Indus Enterpreneurs, Hyderabad, President Murali Bukkapatnam said the festival would be a good platform for early-stage start-ups to get exposure to innovative ideas from a variety of fields.
Promoted by the not-for-profit ESD Startups, the second edition of the festival would also have representation from angel networks, Murali said. There would be a competition for short-film makers on the theme — Hyderabad Innovation, a press release from the organisers said.
