Automotive Manufacturers, the dealer of Mahindra, opened a new auto showroom at Maddilapalem here on Wednesday in addition to the existing one, the seventh in the State.

On the occasion, Arun Malhotra, the Chief of Sales and Customer Care, Mahindra, said that over the past three years Automotive had enhanced its reach in the State, with seven sales showrooms, 21 shop windows, and 23 service facilities. The company had sold 8,237 vehicles during the current financial year in the State till February and the market share for Utility Vehicles was 43 per cent and 42 per cent for SUV segments.

He said the new showroom with 7,000 sq ft. could display 11 vehicles and it would cater to the needs of the customers very well. All-India wide, he said, the company was growing at 20 per cent per annum, even though the industry was growing only at 3-4 per cent. During the current financial year, Mahindra had sold 4.40 lakh vehicles during the current financial year, he added.

Rajiv Sanghvi, the Executive Director of Automotive Manufacturers, said plans were afoot to open two more showrooms, six more sales shop windows and two more accident care service centres in the State within the next three to six months.

He said Mahindra and Automotive had been designing value-added services and products from time to time to serve the needs of customers.
