The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has given its nod to develop the Chandikhole-Dubari-Talcher stretch as a four-lane National Highway in Odisha. The highway will be built through engineering procurement contract, which is a Government-funded route. The cost is estimated to be ₹1,476.56 crore including the cost of land acquisition, resettlement and rehabilitation and other pre-construction activities. The total length of the road will be approximately 133 km.
