Canara Bank Chairman and Managing Director RK Dubey inaugurated the 45{+t}{+h} Circle Office of the Bank at Warangal on Monday. The Bank currently has nearly 5,330 branches all over India, an official statement said.
Canara Bank’s Warangal Circle, with 67 branches in its jurisdiction, covers eight districts of Telangana State (excluding Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy districts) and transacts a total business of ₹2,500 crore.
Banking scopeDubey sees good scope to extend banking facilities in Telangana. Canara Bank is planning to utilize this opportunity by increasing the network of branches to 100 by March 2015, covering important urban, semi-urban and rural centres coming under the Circle, Dubey said.
He has also emphasized Canara Bank’s commitment to provide finance to priority sector with special focus on Agriculture, MSME, Housing and Education. VS Krishna Kumar, Executive Director, who was present on the occasion, informed that the bank has introduced new technology products which are customer friendly and requested the customers to utilize the same.
