The 53rd meeting of the Town Official Language Implementation Committee (TOLIC), Mangalore, was held here recently.
A press release by Corporation Bank said here that Amar Lal Daultani, Executive Director of the bank, who presided over the function, lauded the efforts being made by Mangalore TOLIC in the implementation of official language.
He opined that such activities create congenial atmosphere for the implementation of official language in government offices. While expressing satisfaction over the progress made in the implementation of official language by member organisations, Daultani said that there should not be any laxity in the efforts in this direction.
Ajay Kumar Srivastava, Deputy Director of Regional Implementation Office (South), Department of Official Language, Union Ministry of Home Affairs, reviewed the quarterly progress reports on official language implementation submitted by the member organizations and guided them regarding various statutory provisions in respect of implementation of official language.
P.S. Baliga, General Manager of Corporation Bank, stressed the need for office heads to motivate their staff members to work in Hindi.
J. P. Nautiyal, Member Secretary of the committee and Assistant General Manager of Corporation Bank, gave a brief on the latest developments in the field of official language implementation, the release added.
