Keeping Global Investors Meet (GIM) 2015 in mind, the Karnataka government has launched ‘Destination Karnataka- Initiative’.
Under this initiative, services related to business and industries will be analyzed. Efforts for bringing these services online are being made through a single electronic platform.
Feedback from industry has been obtained. Solutions to address challenges found in the study of shops and establishment registration, VAT registration, export of agriculture products, etc., will be discussed.
The workshop conducted by the Karnataka Chief Secretary is to study best global practices and capacity-building work. The management model for sustainable development by German Society for International Co-operation will also be presented.
The presentations of Karnataka’s Best Practices will be made by the Department of Commerce and Industries, Commercial Taxes, Labour etc.
Best practicesAround 150 participants will evaluate the initiatives in terms of stakeholder engagement, organisational learning and organisation structures.
Both government and industry will come together to work out the modalities for making Karnataka a favoured destination for entrepreneurs.
The Department of Administrative Reforms and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry have joined hands to create India Backbone Implementation Network to evolve a systems approach on quality practices in government, social and infrastructure sectors.
