Aqua clinic, the first fisheries hospital in the State, will be set up as part of the Kerala Fisheries and Ocean Sciences University in Kochi. The Minister for Ports, Mr K. Babu, announced this here in the State Assembly. The hospital is being set up with financial assistance from the National Fisheries Development Board. A comprehensive training centre and hostel for pisciculturists too will be set up with financial assistance from the Indian Council of Agriculture Research (ICAR). An agriculture technology information centre will also be set up at the university. The ICAR will extent a grant of Rs 5 crore for the purpose, the Minister said.
