Irked over the frequent references such as 'T' State, 'T' Government and 'T' Chief Minister in the media, the Telangana Government has asked all the media organisations to use TS as an abbreviation and not T.
In a letter addressed to the media establishments on Wednesday, Telangana Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma said the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act has referred to the new State as the State of Telangana or Telangana State. "The abbreviation for which would be TS," he said.
Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao reportedly was angry over the usage of 'T' as an abbreviation for Telangana and directed the Chief Secretary to issue a general note to all the media organisations, asking them to change the abbreviation.
