Industries Minister P.K. Kunhalikkutty has called a high-level meeting here on Tuesday to discuss contentious issues pertaining to the Nitta Gelatin Company plant near Chalakkudy in Thrissur district.
Working of the plant has been affected after activists raised charges of environmental pollution. The meeting will try to arrive at an amicable settlement so that ‘the plant with a niche product’ gets back on stream, a company spokesman said here.
Kerala State Industries Development Corporation has equity partnership in the profit-making company, which it counts among the flagship projects.
