The Planning Commission on Wednesday approved Goa’s Annual Plan of Rs 4,700 crore for 2012-13, which is about 41 per cent higher than last fiscal.
The Plan for 2012-13 was finalised here at a meeting between the Commission’s Deputy Chairman, Mr Montek Singh Ahluwalia, and the Goa Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Parrikar.
Commenting on the State’s performance, Mr Ahluwalia said Goa’s achievements in all the sectors of the economy were satisfactory.
Mr Parrikar, however, stressed upon the need to further encourage private participation in the development of both social and physical infrastructure.
