State Bank of Travancore (SBT) has earmarked an amount of ₹2 lakh to support a scheme for scholarships to 10 meritorious students belonging to HIV-affected families.
SBT had tied up with the Kerala State AIDS Control Society in the scheme announced last year. Jeevandas Narayan, Managing Director, SBT, handed over the scholarship amount for this year to Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, last week, in the presence of Health Minister VS Sivakumar at the former’s office.
