Members of Parliament from north eastern states have formed an exclusive forum to pursue issues pertaining to development of the region. The forum was formed under the chairmanship of former Lok Sabha Speaker, P A Sangma.
"We have formed a separate forum for MPs from north eastern region this week. In its first meeting, the forum stressed on improving cooperation with Bangladesh," CPI(M) MP from Tripura, Jitendra Chowdhury, told Business Line.
