The Government has granted ‘site clearance’ to Prakasham Airport Pvt Ltd for setting up of a greenfield airport at Ongole, in Andhra Pradesh, the Minister of State for Civil Aviation, KC Venugopal, informed the Rajya Sabha.
An official release issued by the Ministry said that necessary action for project development, including acquisition of land and financing of the airport project, will be taken by the respective airport promoter.
