Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Monday reiterated his allegation that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have a ‘secret’ understanding and a vote for the the TRS is a vote for the BJP.

Continuing his campaigning in Telangana, Rahul told a gathering in Zaheerabad that “KCR and Modi are looting the power and are in league. The remote control is with Modi. Therefore, you don’t find KCR questioning the Rafale deal and supporting demonetisation and GST”.

The Congress President said if elected to power in Delhi, his party will implement NYAY and deposit the money into the poor people’s accounts. Similarly, 30 per cent reservation for women in Parliament and money into poor women’s accounts will be ensured, he promised. “We will implement like we did MNREGA’, he added.

The Congress is contesting all 17 Lok Sabha seats in Telangana, polling to which is scheduled on April 11. The party is fighting it alone, unlike in the Legislative Assembly elections in December 2018, when it fought as a coalition with the Telugu Desam party and others.

“On the other hand, Modi has failed to fulfil promises. No money has come into the accounts despite ₹15 lakh promise. Similarly, schemes for the poor, jobs to the youth and loans to the small and medium enterprises are still a dream even after the government has completed five years,” he added.

Rahul said: “Our target is to defeat Modi, the BJP and the RSS’ ideology. They divide the nation, while the Congress unites”. He also criticised KCR and his ‘family rule’.
