The Gujarat unit of the AAP has set its eyes on the local civic body polls, scheduled for the end of this year. The party has begun a massive booth-level organising movement to gain strength in Ahmedabad, the State’s largest city. .
The movement is aimed at spreading the AAP’s objectives and sensitising people to local issues by approaching them door-to-door at the booth-level.
“The AAP has launched an initiative called Swaraj nu Shukan to strengthen and unite the common man at booth-level, within the Ahmedabad municipality area. Representatives from all the 64 wards of the city had gathered near Dandi bridge in Ahmedabad,” said a statement from the party.
Party volunteers will also assist people in getting solutions to civic issues, it said.
