Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will leave for Singapore tonight for a two-day visit with a high-level delegation. He would meet Singapore’s Foreign Affairs Minister K Shanmugam and Ambassador-at-large Gopinath Pillai on March 30.
It would be followed by a meeting with Singapore’s Second Minister for Trade and Industry S Iswaran and a seminar with businessmen and industrialists. The delegation would include senior ministers Yanamala Ramakrishnudu and P Narayana.
The Chief Minister would address a conference on solid waste management. During his visit to the island nation, the State Government officials would sign an agreement with National University of Singapore (NUS).
On the second day, the delegation would visit Bishan Park and Toa Payoh Town, an integrated transport hub.
The Chief Minister actually planned a visit to Singapore a few days ago to pay tributes to the Singapore leader Lee Kuan Yew. He reportedly had to postpone his visit following an advice from the Centre.
