Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will inaugurate Dixon Technologies' exclusive manufacturing line for Xiaomi at the Electronics Manufacturing Cluster - 2 at Renigunta near here. Dixon, which has the capacity to produce 2.4 million Led TVs, is expanding its capacity to 3.4 million TVs.
"Major multinational brands are serviced from this factory, including Xiaomi, Panasonic, Sanyo, Skyworth and TCL," a senior state government official said. The 32-acre facility also manufactures CCTVs.
"In the near future, plants for washing machines and lighting products will be set up in this campus," he said. The campus, which has already generated 800 jobs in one year, is expected to hire 700 more people in the next 3-4 months. The company will set up a skill development centre and and an innovation centre here.
