The Andhra Pradesh Government, which has come out with an annual budget of the size of Rs 1.61 lakh crore, has decided to implement SAP solutions to have a better view of flow of funds and ‘interaction’ with stakeholders.
The size of the Budget had gone up by about Rs 50 lakh crore over the previous year.
enhance efficiency
The State’s Finance Department has picked a few SAP solutions to introduce systems that promise to “enhance efficiency in financial transactions, transparency in operations, accountability and sustainability to stakeholders and citizens.”
“We will empower our internal and external stakeholders with an efficient HR solution and financial system to better manage public funds and Budget.” P.V. Ramesh, Principal Secretary (Finance, Government of Andhra Pradesh, said commenting on the deployment of the IT solutions.
Offerings
The packaged offering of SAP’s solution include ERP (enterprise resource planning), public budget formulation, business intelligence and data services, treasury management and human resources management, Mathew Thomas, Vice-President (Strategic Industries) of SAP India, said here in a press release on Thursday.
