Andhra Pradesh and the Centre’s Project Monitoring Group met here today seeking to expedite major projects including railway lines, oil and gas projects and Anrak refinery.
The meeting also discussed laying up of underground natural gas pipeline in Andhra Pradesh and prioritisation of the prestigious railway line project between Nadikudi and Srikalahasthi.
State Chief Secretary I.Y.R. Krishna Rao held a meeting today with VP Roy, Joint Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat, New Delhi to discuss about fast tracking the stalled projects by Cabinet Committee of Investment (CCI)–Project Monitoring Group (PMG) and projects under Petroleum and Natural Gas Sector.
Doubling of Railway Line from Guntakal and Guntur, Vizianagarm to Raipur was proposed to be included under the Projects of Cabinet Committee of Investment (CCI)–Project Monitoring Group (PMG).
During the meeting, the Chief Secretary directed the officers concerned to take up on a priority basis land acquisition for the railway line from Obulavaripalle to Venkatachalam Port. This facilitates connection to Mumbai-Chennai-Kolkata line and the Railway Vikas Nigam Ltd., Chennai.
Issues and latest status of the projects including those of Anrak Refinery at APIIC Industrial Park in Visakhapatnam district, a joint venture between Penna Cement Group Hyderabad and APMDC, Essar Steel India Ltd, Vizag Complex, Kakinada Re-gasification Project, Integrated Fertilizer and Chemical Complex in Krishna District, Kurnool-Kadapa-Mydukur National Highway Road.
