K.Vijayanand, Managing Director, AP Genco & CMD of AP Transco has been adjudged Winner of “Best Performing Bureaucrats Affecting Sector Transformation – State award” at the “9th ENERTIA National Awards 2015 - India & South Asia's Awards for Sustainable Energy & Power”.
As the head of two important organisations in the power sector, Vijayanand has been driving operational excellence. The management acumen of K.Vijayanand coupled with his leadership qualities had been recognised by the jury of the awards, said the Chief of Jury of Awards.
Also, AP Genco has been awarded as the winner of “Best Performing Utilities – Power Generation” in the same event and the Andhra Pradesh State has been adjudged as the “Top Investment & Infra Excellent State in Energy & Power 2014-15”.
While receiving the awards, Vijayanand stated that the unstinted support of the State Government has resulted in making the AP as the best destination for Infrastructure and Investments in the country.
All arrangements have been made to lay the foundation stone for 800 MW Super united boiler at Vijayawada Thermal Power Station under Stage-VI soon by the Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, he said.
