The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Monday dismissed a bail petition of YSR Congress Party President Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy in the illegal assets case.
The High Court’s decision came after the Central Bureau of Investigation contended that the bail plea which was based on the issue of statutory bail was argued at length at the apex court and accused cannot seek the bail on the same grounds again.
Jagan was arrested in a case related to Vanpic business deal and not yet in other cases, it submitted to the court.
Jagan, who was arrested on May 27 this year, is under judicial remand at the Chanchalguda Central Prison here.
