Medical education in Andhra Pradesh is likely to get a global touch soon. The Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has on Monday directed the officials to explore collaborations with Harvard Medical School and John Hopkins School of Public Health on designing course structure for medical colleges in the state.
``We can also have them as guest professors in our Universities where they can not only impart skills to students but also to our teacher,” Naidu said in a review meeting with the medical advisory board held here.
The state government had formed State Medical Advisory Board to work on revamping public health systems in Andhra Pradesh and also to attract investments to the healthcare sector.
The board was also asked to draw an action plan to revamp the entire healthcare system with a focus on shifting from curative system to preventive healthcare.
The plan will include integrating various departments within the medical sector to enhance the response systems and services.
The Chief Minister had also directed the officials to provide wi-fi facility in all medical colleges in the State.
