The Andhra Pradesh Real Estate Developers Association is holding its third edition of the Property Show in Hyderabad on November 10 and 11.

The property show will include a conference on 'Real Estate--Accelerating the Growth Story, which will discuss issues such as innovative construction technologies to reduce costs and innovative marketing and financing options. Absence of private equity funding to the housing sector will be another issue that will be discussed at the conference.

P. Premkumar, president of APREDA, said the second edition of the show last year had attracted 50,000 visitors, with 1,500 bookings.  This time, we expect at least 60,000 footfalls and more number of bookings, he told media persons here today.

The show will see the participation of 15 banks and housing finance companies to facilitate immediate verification and possible sanction of loans.

He said the property show would have on display residential properties with a price tag of between Rs 1,800 per sft in the peripheral areas of Hyderabad to Rs 6,000 per sft.

Sandeep Patnaik, Managing Director of Jones Lang Lasalle, Andhra Pradesh, said last year about five million sft of office space was sold in Hyderabad.  This year he expects about 4.3 million sft, as supply of office space has shrunk especially in the Hitech city area.

Premkumar said residential property prices in Hyderabad were the least compared to other metros.  There has been an average growth rate of 29 per cent in the housing sector in the last 10 years, although it fell in 2010 due to political uncertainties.
