The Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation is hardening its stand on units that have sitting on the lands allotted to them without setting up the projects.
The AP Minister for Major Industries J. Geetha Reddy said the corporation had, in the last three years, issued notice to 1,773 units for not starting their units. These units have been allotted a total of 18,000 acres across different industrial parks in the State.
The Minister said of these units, an extent of 2,947 acres allotted to 67 units has so far been recovered. The recovered land includes 2,000 acres allotted to the Swaraj Paul-owned Capero project and 250 acres given to Brahmani Infotech.
