A 3.5-acre garden with 70 varieties of flowers was inaugurated on Thursday by Odisha Chief Minister, Naveen Patnaik, here.
The garden has popular varieties like champa, tuberose, jasmine, magnolia, ginger lily, canon ball tree, trumpet flower, yesterday-today-tomorrow, queen of the night and parrot tree, Regional Plant Resource Centre Director, A K Mohapatra, said.
The garden will help in germplasm conservation and promote research on aromatic plants and perfumery industries, Mohapatra said.
