Manipal University, Manipal, has bagged the Golden Peacock Environment Management Award for 2012. A press release said here that the award is to recognise the success achieved in managing environmental concerns. A jury chaired by Mr Justice P.N. Bhagwati, former Chief Justice of India, selected Manipal University for the award, it said. The Pro Chancellor of Manipal University, Dr H.S. Ballal, received the award in New Delhi recently, the release added.
