Bahri Estates Pvt Ltd has roped in Apollo Tele Health Services, a division of Apollo Hospitals group, as healthcare partner for its township Anandam, a retirement community.

The pact between the two will facilitate a tele health service facility for the residents of Anandam township at Kodaikanal, near Madurai. A paramedic and a nurse will provide primary care in consultation with the relevant specialists of the hospital chain across the country. Almost all the doctors of Apollo Hospitals will be available to the residents who can get direct video consultation over a scheduled appointment, explained Vikram Thaploo, Chief Executive Officer, Apollo Tele Health Services.

The 1,000 sq.ft. facility within the township will feature a small lab, physiotherapy equipment and an ambulance equipped with portable ventilator to handle emergencies. Announcing this at a press conference, Hemand Bahri, Managing Director of Bahri Estates, said Anandam Retirement Community, which is operational, will get upgraded healthcare service in terms of necessary medical set-up with doctors of various specialities when more seniors move in. Out of the proposed 400 villas, 60 are occupied.

Thaploo of Apollo said that the hospital chain has signed in with various other real estate developers including Tata Housing, Mantri Developers and Jain Housing to offer similar services at their township projects.
