Bandh was observed in many towns in Andhra Pradesh on Saturday demading special category status to the State by the NDA Government.
The bandh went off peacefully barring minor incidents. While many leaders of various parties were under house arrest, few members were arrested.
Public transport were not plying as workers stopped the APSRTC buses from going out of the bus depots.
