The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has declared the road from Bangalore-Ramanagara-Channapattna-Mandya-Mysore-Madikeri-Mangalore as National Highway.
The Ministry has declared the road taking into account requirement of connectivity, inter-se-priority and availability of funds.
“Further, development of National Highway is also a continuous process and works are taken up in stretches, keeping in view the requirement of connectivity, inter-se-priority and availability of funds. It would be premature to indicate time of completion of the project,” said the Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways Pon Radhakrishnan, in a written reply in Lok Sabha.
