Karnataka Department of IT/BT, in association with the industry body ABAI, will hold Bengaluru GAFX Conference 2017 – an animation, games and visual effects show.
“The three-day event (May 12 -14) is expected to offer guidance to the youth who want to make career in the animation industry. Professionals from this sector will get a great opportunity to up-skill and gain knowledge on the latest and greatest in the industry,” said Priyank Kharge, Minsiter for IT, BT and Tourism.
GAFX 2017 will also see industry stalwarts such as David James, Sharon Calahan, Wesley Allsbrook, Golam Ashraf, Alejandro Garcia, Anand Baid and many others talk on a variety of topics.
According to Kharge, leaders from top global studios and production houses such as Pixar Animation Studios, Walt Disney Animation Studios, DreamWorks Animation, Double Negative, The Third Floor, MPC and Ubisoft will speak on all formats including virtual reality and 360 films.
“Bengaluru GAFX conference is a one of its kind event that is curated keeping in mind the artists, professionals and students of the Animation Games and Visual Effects industry. The scale in terms of line of speakers ,screenings and the breadth of the program including upto 30 hours live competitions, job fair, VR zones etc is unprecedented. An event like this truly energises and provides impetus to the ecosystem,” said Adi Shayan, Secretary, ABAI.
