The upcoming elections will see a fight between politics of performance played by the BJP and the politics of paranoia created by the Opposition parties, said BJP National Vice-President Vinay Sahasrabuddhe on Tuesday.

He was interacting with the media at the party office. Sahasrabuddhe said the BJP government in the last five years attempted to bring about accountability, transparency and innovation in governance. Due to such style of functioning the people’s expectations have increased exponentially, he claimed.

The Modi government had taken some unprecedented steps, one of them being the setting up of a National Commission for Denotified, Nomadic and Semi-nomadic Tribes, under Bhiku Idate. Such attempts are being made for inclusive growth, he said.

Earlier, infrastructure projects such as metro rail were available only in Delhi and Kolkatta but the government has managed to commence metro rail construction in 50 cities across the country.

Sahasrabuddhe pointed out that the Prime Minister has been speaking about a new and resurgent India. The country can no longer be taken for granted, he claimed.
