The Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry has hailed the decisions taken by the GST Council to solve the problems of trade and industry.
Stating that the initiatives were welcome, Chamber president Vanitha Mohan expressed the hope that the government would announce some concessions for specific sectors, particularly in the MSME area, which have been burdened with high rates.
She appealed that the GST rate on wet grinders be aligned with chakki atta grinders, which are taxed at 5 per cent.
