Accusing the BJP of betraying the people of Andhra Pradesh and going back on bifurcation commitments, the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, N Chandrababu Naidu, has said he would wage a relentless battle for protecting the interests of the State.

He was speaking here on Tuesday evening at a public meeting at the Andhra University engineering college grounds. The meeting was christened ‘Dharma porata sabha’ (righteous struggle).

He said the NDA Government had not fulfilled any of the major promises, including a separate railway zone for Visakhapatnam and also a metro for the city. He listed out all the projects mentioned in the AP Re-organisation Act, 2014, and alleged that the NDA Government, led by the BJP, had not done justice to the people of AP.

He vowed to fight for the projects and urged the co-operation of the people and their whole-hearted support to get the State its rightful due.
