The 6th edition of the Chennai Retail Summit, organised by the Retailers Association of India will he held on December 1, in the city.

With ‘values, value and valuation’ as the theme of the conference, the summit hopes to make companies understand the importance of a value system, and look beyond profits and valuation in the digital age. BusinessLine is the media partner for the event.

The event will bring together retailers and decision-makers from the industry to share insights into the growth of retail business, role of women and family-owned businesses in changing times.

It also gives opportunities to enhance the knowledge about the industry, and acts as a platform to meet with experts and solution providers.

Key speakers include Nalli Kuppusami Chetti of Nalli Silks and A Velumani, Managing Director, Thyrocare.

Retail environment

Kumar Rajagopalan, Chief Executive Officer, Retailers Association of India, said in a press release: “Chennai is full of modern retailers who have very strong value systems, and have been committed to customer service excellence for more than 50 years.”

The summit aims to explore various aspects of retailing that contribute towards creation of value in the retail ecosystem, he added.
