In addition, CII is partnering with Infosys Foundation, Sri Ramakrishna Mission and Rotary International to carry out relief work in eight zones covering the most affected areas like Velachery, Medavakkam, Okkiyam Thoraipakkam, Tambaram and Cuddalore.

Apart from distributing food, CII has organised medical camps in those areas to make available essential medicines. Over 10 ambulances and mobile medical units are currently operational in the regions. In an attempt to provide livelihood opportunities, CII would work with the Tamil Nadu government in creating detailed plans once the on-ground assessment of the damage is completed.
