Prime Minister Narendra Modi made an intervention in the national executive meeting on Sunday, warning delegates “not to underestimate the opposition” but to respond to them with strength.
The PM made a short intervention during the meeting, speaking about the danger of underestimating the Opposition in the context of upcoming elections in Uttar Pradesh.
“Do not consider the Opposition weak. We have to respond with strength. We have 11 crore members associated with the party. We need to engage with them in a way where whatever we are doing as a Government reaches the poor. One must accept change and also respond to the times. This is the age of the youth and we must understand their aspirations,” the PM is believed to have told BJP delegates at the national executive.
