Madurai International Airport now joins other international airports in the State such as Chennai, Tiruchy and Coimbatore in getting the e-Visa facility.
This facility is expected to benefit a large number of tourists from Malaysia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, the UAE, Mauritius, the US and the UK.
“It is done online, requiring no facilitation by an intermediary or agent,” said S Rethinavelu, senior President of the Tamilnadu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, thanking the Union Civil Aviation Minister Suresh Prabhu, for introducing the facility at Madurai airport.
