England and Spain lock horns in the first-ever all-European summit clash of the FIFA Under-17 World Cup in Kolkata. After three weeks of high intensity and top quality football, only England and Spain remain in contention for the top honour. And both sides will be seeking their maiden title when they come out in front of the full-capacity 66,000-odd crowd at the Salt Lake Stadium. Meanwhile, Brazil will seek a consolation win when they take on Mali in the third-place play-off. It is expected to be free—flowing contest between Brazil’s natural flair and the raw power and speed of an African side.

The much awaited Agartala-Anand Vihar Rajdhani Express will be formally flagged off from Agartala railway station by the Minister of State for Railways Rajen Gohain. The formal running of the train is expected to start November 6. It will operate once a week on Mondays from Agartala and Wednesdays from Anand Vihar in New Delhi. The total journey time will be 40 hours and 50 minutes and the train will stop at 16 stations.

India will face Singapore in their opening match of the Women’s Asia Cup which gets underway on Saturday. Teams from China, India, Kazakhstan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and reigning title holders Japan will fight for supremacy in the event which will conclude on November 5 here. The continental tournament also serves as a qualifier for the Hockey World Cup 2018.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Dharmasthala in Karnataka. Besides visiting the temple, he will also attend a function organised by the Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural development Project (SKDRDP). The Prime Minister will symbolically launch the distribution of RuPay Cards for Self—Help Group (SHG) members, enrolled for Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) through SKDRDP.

India will take on New Zealand in the final ODI in the three-match series at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur. India produced a professional performance under pressure to beat New Zealand by six wickets in a must-win game in the second ODI. The hosts had lost the series opener in Mumbai.
