The Opposition has called for a Bharat Bandh to protest the hike in fuel price and excise duty. DMK, Trinamool Congress and the Left parties have decided to join the protest. The Bandh will be observed in several states including Maharashtra, Bihar, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Odisha. On Sunday, the fuel prices hit a new high and petrol crossed the Rs 80 mark.

Tata Financial Capital Services will open for non-convertible debentures (NCD) today. The non-banking financial company plans to raise Rs 7,500 cr via NCD and the subscription, which carries an interest of 8.70 to 9.10 per cent, will be open till Sepetember 21.
