Huawei is likely to launch the Honor 9 smartphone in India. In August, the company had launched the Honor 8 smartphone in the country at about Rs 30,000. The Chinese smartphone maker said earlier this year that it has overtaken iPhone maker Apple in global sales volume to become the second largest handset company globally.
RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav and his son Tejashwi Yadav will appear before the CBI in an alleged corruption case. They had been called for questioning on October 4 and 5 but both had expressed their inability to appear on the said dates. The CBI wants to question the former railways minister Lalu Prasad Yadav for a contract given for the maintenance of two IRCTC hotels in 2006. Tejashwi is also named as an accused in the case that alleges corruption in the deal.
Three astronauts aboard the International Space Station will set out on the first of the three-series Spacewalks scheduled for October. Expedition 53 Commander Randy Bresnik of NASA will lead all three spacewalks, joined on Oct. 5 and 10 by Flight Engineer Mark Vande Hei, also of NASA. Flight Engineer Joe Acaba of NASA will join Bresnik on October 18 for the third spacewalk.
