A global core group of 22 fintech entrepreneurs and executives — mostly NRIs from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana — has been formed to promote fintech and create the right ecosystem in Vizag.
Some of the entrepreneurs spoke here on Monday, as the Vizag Fintech Festival got under way. The Fintech Fest will be formally inaugurated on Tuesday by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
JA Chowdary, IT adviser to the AP government, said the global crore group was making concerted efforts to promote Vizag as a fintech destination and the AP government was also offering a number of incentives to attract start-ups and other investors in the field.
“We are sure our efforts will bear fruit in the coming two to three years and the results will be seen,” he added.
Atluri, the leader of the core group, said all the 22 members were committed to developing Vizag and AP as a fintech destination and Vizag would leapfrog into the digital era.
Six MoUs will be signed on Tuesday with different fintech companies in the presence of the Chief Minister to start operations in the fintech valley here.
