The resolution on foreign policy introduced by the BJP at its national executive meet here on Friday highlighted that in just 10 ten months, the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister together engaged with as many as 94 countries from every part of the world.
While the PM has aggressively pursued active engagement with China, the resolution highlighted that at the ASEAN summit, he underscored the necessity of keeping all sea routes including the South China Sea peaceful, open and safe.
It paid due attention to the PM’s engagements with India’s neighbours. “The PM filled a long gap in many relations with visits to — Nepal after 17 years, Lanka after 28 years, Australia after 28 years, Fiji after 33 years and Seychelles after 34 years,” it said.
